Do we really deserve dogs? This story shows just how good they are to us. A dog owner, whose Instagram username is @ladyandtheblues, shared a video about how her golden retriever named Lady refused to leave her side when she was pregnant. The dog only wanted to go on walks with his pregnant owner.
"My dog became so clingy after I got pregnant and now she refuses to go for a walk without me…" the video read. It showed clips of the woman standing in her driveway while her husband held the dog on a leash. Anytime the husband and dog started walking and the woman didn't follow, the dog would turn around, pull the husband back, and stand by his pregnant owner's side.
But now that the woman gave birth, the dog doesn't want to leave the newborn daughter's side. "Watch my dog fall in love with our baby," another video said. In the clips, anywhere the baby went, Lady followed, at times even lingering around the baby's bassinet.
"The beginning of a beautiful relationship!❤️ ," one person commented.
Other people also weighed in with admiration for the dog's infatuation with the baby girl.
"Best Protector & friend for life ❤️❤️," one user said, with another adding, "Dogs, cats, horses, etc., are more sensitive, cognizant and intuitive than we think."

The owner's Instagram page is full of Lady sticking by the daughter's side as she grows older. "Every child deserves a soulmate from birth," another video read.
People commented on the dog-daughter bond.
