Frankie Valli Gets 3-Year Restraining Order Against Eldest Son After Threats

Frankie Valli and his son Emilio Valli were recently granted a three-year restraining order against the singer's eldest son, Francesco. Just days before Friday, May 3, 2024, when Frankie received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work with musical group The Four Seasons, a judge signed off on an order of protection for the father and son against Francesco.

It will last until April 29, 2027. The 90-year-old singer was joined by his twin sons Emilio and Brando, and his wife, Jackie Jacobs, at the Walk of Fame ceremony.

“This is really a highlight of my life, especially having my sons here and my wife sitting right there,” Frankie told the crowd as he stood at a podium accepting the honor. “Could you please stand up, guys?”

As his family stood up, it was obvious that his eldest son was not present. The three-year restraining order follows a temporary order that was granted on April 10, 2024. Francesco, 36, must not contact Frankie nor Emilio, 29, and must stay at least 100 yards away from their homes and workplaces.

In previous documents, Emilio stated that he and his father feared for their safety after his older brother attempted to break into his Frankie's property on April 5, 2024. According to the filing, while waiting for law enforcement to arrive after the attempted break-in, Francesco “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” Frankie and Emilio. The family said this was “part of a pattern for the past several months.”

“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” a representative for the singer told People at the time. According to Emilio's filing, the family believes Francesco is “addicted to opiates.” While Frankie had been financially supporting him, he recently made that support contingent on Francesco agreeing to enter a residential drug treatment program.

Emilio also stated that Francesco destroyed Frankie’s property as well as stole and sold his personal items. A source close to the family told the New York Post that the drama with Francesco has been “heartbreaking” for the singer.

“All families go through good and bad times, there are triumphs, failures and joys in every family across the nation, and the Valli family is no different, but because Frankie Valli is an icon, the magnitude of all of this is that much greater,” the insider said.

Frankie shares all three sons with his ex-wife Randy Clohessy. He’s also a father to daughters Antonia and Francine with his ex-wife Mary Mandel. He married his now-wife, Jackie, in June 2023.

Fans commented on the situation.

"I am so glad I decided NOT to have children because I did NOT want a son!" one person shared.

Another person stated, "Doing a restraining order against people like your relatives do not make any sense at all!!!"
