Georgia Student Accepted Into 231 Universities And Awarded $14.7 Million In Scholarships

The sky is not even close to the limit for this high school senior! Madison Crowell from Hinesville, Georgia, was accepted into 231 colleges and awarded $14.7 million in scholarships due to her diligence and belief in herself. This fall, the 18-year-old will be headed off to her school of choice at High Point University in High Point, North Carolina.

She will be attending with a full tuition scholarship. Madison has not only made her family and friends proud, but has proved to herself that "nothing is impossible."

"I wanted to apply to as many schools as I did," she said, "because I'm coming from a low-income area of Georgia, and so I want to show the kids here in Liberty County that it's possible to get accepted into not only just local schools like Georgia Southern [University] and Savannah [Technical College], but that you can get accepted into schools like the University of Alabama and University of Colorado and [schools] that you think might be out of your reach but is definitely in reach."

Madison's parents, dad Sgt. 1st Class Delando Langley and mom Melissa Langley, have been preparing her to go to college for as long as she can remember. When she got to middle school, they would occasionally take road trips and go on college tours. She put it in her mind that she would be committed to the process.

"I know what it's like to be deferred from a dream school and you don't know if you're gonna get the chance to apply again or you're not going to be accepted again," she said, revealing that she wasn't accepted into other top schools. But as she shared advice for other students, she noted, "At the end of the day, I'm just another student. We're about to graduate, some of us with uncertain futures. And I just want to make it known that nothing is impossible and that the sky is not the limit and that you want to keep pushing for greatness."
