Jennifer Lopez and her Atlas costar, Simu Liu, were not having it when a reporter decided to ask about the divorce rumors that have been circulating about the actress and Ben Affleck. During a press day in Mexico City on Wednesday, May, 22, 2024, to promote the new Netflix film, an unidentified reporter interrupted the proceedings by asking a personal question about Jennifer's life. "Is your divorce with Ben Affleck real? These rumors?" the reporter questioned. "What is the truth? [For the Mexican press], what is the truth of the situation?"
Simu immediately jumped in saying, "OK we're not doing that. Thank you so much guys, we really appreciate it. Thank you." Jennifer chuckled for a moment before leaning in and adding, "You know better than that."
"C'mon, don't come in with that energy, please," Simu also chimed back in. "If I could just end on one thing, Jen is a producer on this movie and the reason why I am here and why Sterling [K. Brown] was in this beautiful movie is because Jen cares. And Jen cares about things like representation and diversity, and she's a boss."
