Alanis Morissette Celebrates Daughter’s 8th Birthday Letting Her Sing ‘Ironic’ On Stage

Alanis Morissette celebrated her daughter Onyx's eighth birthday by performing one of her hit songs with her daughter. During the 50-year-old Canadian-American singer's concert in Nashville on Sunday, June 23, 2024, Alanis brought up her daughter to shower her with the "Happy Birthday" song, but Onyx got a lot more. After the crowd helped wish her a happy birthday, the mother-daughter duo went into a duet of Alanis' iconic and beloved 1996 hit, "Ironic."

The mother shared a photo of their performance to her Instagram. "Birthday angel girl moment ✨ singing ironic together ," she captioned the post. "I love you so much onyx you are my dream daughter ❤️❤️ #8 #happybirthday#nashville #i❤️younashville ✨✨✨."

One fan wrote: "It was lovely!!!! i cried watching you both singing! such a cute moment! what a bless for you both! she nailed it! such a rockstar already."
