Suborno Isaac Bari celebrated his 11th birthday just before getting a high score on his AP BC Calculus exam and applying to colleges. Now, at age 12, he has graduated from Malverne High School in Malverne, New York, and is preparing for college. Rebecca Gottesman, the director of K-12 school counseling at Malverne Union Free School District, told Good Morning America that Suborno is "the most exceptional student I've ever met academically."
Suborno skipped grades 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11, according to GMA.
Suborno's classmates hosted an 11th birthday party for him just before he took the AP BC Calculus exam, reported CBS. Rebecca told the outlet that Suborno "went on to score the highest grade in the AP BC Calculus class."
Though Suborno has been described as "a prodigy," he appreciates how his teachers and classmates "treated [him] just like any other high school student," he told GMA.
"That's how I really wanted to be treated by the community," he told the outlet.
Suborno, who is passionate about math and science, eventually wants to earn a PhD and become a professor. He talked to CBS about how he truly enjoys math and science, and he even helps his 21-year-old brother with his assignments.
