The effects of the out of control fires in Los Angeles almost 3,000 miles away are being felt in South Florida. Steve Martin and Martin Short were forced to cancel their back-to-back shows this weekend.
The Only Murders in the Building stars were set to perform their act, The Dukes Of Funnytown! at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on January 10, and the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood the next night. New dates will be announced shortly, the venues say. For guests who have already purchased tickets, they will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
Martin took to Instagram to share a snapshot of the apocalyptic looking landscape, alerting his followers about the postponement. “Everyone is alive,” said the veteran comic’s caption. “But there is devastation.”
