Donald Trump has said before that he is a germaphobe, and maybe he was telling the truth because days after Elon Musk’s kid turned an Oval Office appearance into a booger picking buffet, the president has made a move.
Gone is the Resolute Desk, which Musk’s son, Little X, hung out over, knuckle deep in his nose, while Trump sat there and watched Elon talk to the media about DOGE. It appeared that the youngster may have wiped something on the desk, too, possibly marking its demise.

Trump, of course, did not blame booger remnants for the removal of the desk from his office, but considering his past claim of being a germaphobe and a fact that everyone saw it, a lot of sites and social media folks could not help but point to that as the possible real reason.
“A President, after election, gets a choice of 1 in 7 desk,” Trump wrote on Truth Social explaining the move. “This desk, the ‘C&O,’ which is also very well-known and was used by President George H.W. Bush and others, has been temporarily installed in the White House while the Resolute Desk is being lightly refinished — a very important job. This is a beautiful, but temporary replacement!”
Were nose nuggets really to blame or did the desk really need a touch up?
The world may never know the true answer.
