Man Pays Thousands To Fly To Turkey To Get New Teeth Then He Comes Home Without Any

On the surface, cosmetic surgery of any kind appears to be for aesthetics. Although it is true that many people go under the knife for a variety of reasons, they aren’t always immediately due to vanity. Some women get breast augmentations because of cancer. Some rhinoplasty surgery isn’t just for a sleeker nose; it could be to improve breathing. And when it comes to dental procedures, there are a myriad of reasons people get braces or even implants, physical appearance being just one of them. However, in countries like the US and the UK, full dental work or implants can cost thousands, so sometimes people seek treatment in more affordable countries.

That’s exactly what LAD Bible reported UK dad Jon Denton did.

After surviving a harrowing motorbike crash in January 2020, the delivery driver and dad of two’s dental health quickly deteriorated. The accident did significant damage to them, plus paramedics had to knock out his two front teeth to get a breathing tube down his throat.

“I noticed my teeth crumbling and deteriorating quite soon after the accident,” Denton told LAD Bible. “I then had metal fixations put into my jaw for ages afterwards during recovery, so I couldn’t really brush my teeth.

“When they started getting really bad, I knew I needed help. But the cheapest quote I got in England was between £20,000 to £30,000, which I couldn’t afford.

“My teeth would crumble while I ate and I had constant tooth ache,” he told the outlet. “If I bought a burger, I had to cut it up like you did when you were little.”

Being embarrassed and in pain, Denton began exploring his options.

After doing research and seeing “good reviews,” Denton chose a clinic in Turkey that he felt confident could help him. In January 2026, he gathered nearly £4,300 and flew off to get the work done. He had 14 implants fitted into his mouth and, with the clinic’s alleged approval, the following day his new teeth were glued in.

Denton’s GoFundMe account, which he set up to help him pay for future dental work, details that “all of his natural teeth were removed and 14 implants were placed into his gums, with temporary teeth cemented on.”

At first, he was very happy with the results, despite waking up in “excruciating” pain. In the weeks to follow, that pain was constant.

“My temporary bottom teeth fell out, I laughed while sitting on the sofa and they just fell out. Excruciating pain followed,” LAD Bible reported. “I physically couldn’t brush my teeth as they were so sore, it was becoming unbearable. They told me to fly back out and they’d reattach the teeth.”

In March of 2026, Denton returned to Turkey hoping the dentist would fix the issue but woke up to something much worse.

@jon.den92 Thank you so much to everyone who has reached out with support—it truly means everything. Things have finally taken a positive turn, and there is a way forward. Now it’s just about raising the funds to make it happen. If you’re able to support with even a small donation, I would be forever grateful. “I remember waking up and there was nothing [no teeth] there,” Denton claimed. “Other than the front one that was a bit sore, all the rest of the teeth were solid. There was no need to remove them all. It was a shock to find they were all removed. For a couple of days, I just locked myself away. In comparison, I was in a better position before going to Turkey than I am now.

“I know some people have gone to Turkey and got absolutely brilliant teeth but it’s not the case for me,” he added. “It’s the worst thing I’ve ever been through. I wish I could turn back time.”

The GoFundMe the description elaborated that the dentist claimed Denton had a “disease” and was diabetic, and his gums were not fully healed from the first procedure. Then the dentist’s staff allegedly claimed he was not even able to have implants. They offered to fit him for dentures or get a partial refund; he opted for the latter.

When he returned to the UK, his doctor confirmed he does not have diabetes.

@jon.den92 This is the treatment plan and quote I have had after 3D scan, the scan showed I have very little so am a very complex case and will need a very experienced implantologist. The treatment in Turkey shouldn't have gone ahead. They didn't identify the bone loss before carrying out the treatment as they didn't do a 3D scan. I thought they had but it was only 2D. I need a special implant that goes into the jaw. This is also why dentures do not work for me. I was given a part refund in Turkey which has funded some UK dentures which do not work for me, despite trying all the adhesives, strips and powder. Nothing works so I have no teeth and cannot chew food. I will be getting another UK quote from 21D and I'm flying to Turkey to have a consultation and scans on Tuesday to see if they say the same thing and if they can offer specialist treatment. As and when I get a cheaper quote I will adjust the target. I'm also working over 50 hours a week to save as much as I can but after losing so much money on this I'm back to where I started and will be lucky if I can save in 5 years. Hope this clears up some questions. Thank you for everyone who has been supportive x #dentist #negligence #turkey #viral #update ♬ оригинальный звук – Joni27🫶 Kaikkivaltias❤️

He did, however, have a very serious infection that a first course of antibiotics did not help and was given a new prescription. His UK dentist informed him that he was not a good candidate for implants because of his poor bone density and that he had “no ridge” suitable for dentures.

Denton now hopes to raise money to get special implants designed for someone with bone density issues and hopefully get his smile back.
