Apparently, Robert F.Kennedy Jr. will do anything to make sure he can “Make America Healthy Again.” That includes using a Rob Schneider quote from the Adam Sandler movie The Waterboy in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Maybe it’s his way to try and appeal to a wider audience, or maybe Rob really loves being MAGA-adjacent.
Either way, it was a cringe move on RFK Jr.’s part, and it’s one that his critics won’t soon let him forget. But he kind of deserves it, because since when did social media become the place for politicians to peddle their wares? And by wares I mean propaganda, of course. But they seriously have no chill, and no self-awareness, about the cringe of it all.
RFK Jr. quoted ‘The Waterboy’ in his social media post.
America, it's time to Take Back Your Health. As @RobSchneider said, "YOU CAN DO IT!"

In RFK Jr.’s X post, he urged his followers and supporters to “eat real food” and to “get active.” But he also wrote, “America, it’s time to Take Back Your Health. As
@RobSchneider said, ‘YOU CAN DO IT!'” This is in reference to Rob’s Waterboy character shouting the same phrase in encouragement for the main character Bobby and his college football career. But it feels so out of place in RFK Jr.’s post that people had to call him out for it.
“Everyone should absolutely listen to Rob Schneider’s health advice! Very credible health expert, I hear,” a user commented, clearly with sarcasm.
Another wrote, “So instead of doing any of the things you said you were going to do, you’re going to say tee shirt slogans about getting healthy?”
You’re pathetic, your uncle would be ashamed of you.
As for the message itself, someone commented, “The public health equivalent of telling people to ‘learn to swim’ while you are actively opening the floodgates of the dam.”
Rob Schneider’s politics are in line with RFK Jr.’s message.
FRK Jr. also shared a video of himself in his X post. In it, he says that America has a problem with chronic diseases but Donald Trump is here to end it. However, he says, “It begins with you taking back your own health.” Then Rob, in character from The Waterboy, pops in to say his iconic line in the same undiscernible accent he uses in the movie.
After endorsing Trump for his second term, Rob became more outspoken about his support for Trump, the “Make America Great Again” initiative, and RFK Jr.’s own plans for the country. In May 2025, Rob posted an Instagram photo of himself at the White House and wrote in the caption, “A truly great honor to be at the White House today with President Donald J Trump and Secretary of HHS Robert Kennedy Jr. #MakeAmericaHealthyAgain.”
Critics called out the MAHA representative for the cringe post.
RFK Jr. really didn’t need to adopt the movie quote in order to appeal to those who already support him. And for those who didn’t before now, it’s highly unlikely that bringing in Rob in the video in the X post would suddenly sway critics. And in the comments under the X post, there are far more people criticizing RFK Jr. and asking him for real help than there are people applauding America and Rob’s involvement in the video.
“Genuinely not sure which one of these two looks more pathetic in this,” an X user commented on the post. “No, wait, nevermind. It’s Rob Schneider. It’s always Rob Schneider.”
Another added, “Oh God…They’re losing celebrity endorsement so bad they only have Kid Rock and Rob Schneider left…That’s f–king embarrassing.”
