The Lindsay Clancy case, involving the murder of three children, has made headlines all over the world. The nature of the crimes committed and the defense team’s claim that Clancy should not be held criminally responsible due to postpartum psychosis has the internet in a choke-hold, and now, apparently, that includes Cardi B of all people.
According to TikTok, Cardi B took to X Spaces to share her thoughts on the case and why she believes Clancy has been given far more grace than she deserves. X Spaces is an offshoot of X (formerly Twitter), on which users can participate in live audio conversations. And when Cardi B began to speak on the case during one of these sessions, people took notes.

Because of the nature of the crimes involved in Clancy’s case, and the fact that her defense argued her side with her postpartum psychosis diagnosis at the forefront, there is a big debate on social media about who is to blame and how much blame is to be placed on Clancy. There are even armchair detectives who believe her husband, Patrick Clancy, had something to do with the crimes, though that has never been proven and there has not been an investigation into Patrick at this time.
Others believe that Lindsay should not be held responsible and that the mental health industry failed her following the birth of her youngest child, who was eight months old at the time of his death. Lindsay and Patrick’s other children were each five and three years old. According to Cardi B, there needs to be less emphasis put on Lindsay’s mental diagnosis and more responsibility placed for what happened to the children.
Cardi B had a lot to say about the case and why people shouldn’t be supporting Lindsay Clancy.

During her rant on X Spaces, Cardi B said that people need to “stop looking for excuses” when it comes to this case and other cases like it involving children as the victims. She shot down the mental health struggles that many have argued were to blame for Lindsay’s alleged actions involving the killing of her three children.
“One thing about me, when it comes to kids, is stop looking for different loopholes to give this woman an excuse for why these three kids are dead,” Cardi B said. “A lot of y’all are talking about her husband probably did it, or the system failed her. We need to stop looking for an excuse. If your mental health is so f–ked up that you kill three f–king kids, maybe you shouldn’t be on the streets.”
Cardi B also pointed out that she sees other women who are of different economical backgrounds than Lindsay and that they do not get the same kind of help she was reportedly afforded.
“A lot of women in our hood are suffering from postpartum depression,” she added. “There are women in our hoods whom nobody offered to help with their children. Does that give them an excuse to kill their kids?”
Cardi B also criticized a fundraiser for Lindsay Clancy.

During the same X Spaces rant, Cardi B pointed out the money that was reportedly raised for Lindsay, though it may be the GoFundMe that was posted for Lindsay’s parents. According to the fundraiser, the family raised more than $1.1 million. Cardi B slammed the idea of the fundraiser for Lindsay, though it’s not clear if Cardi B also believes the money shouldn’t go to Lindsay’s parents, who spend years traveling and even relocating to be there for their daughter during the case and trial.
“The b—h raised a million f–king dollars,” Cardi B said. “Why are we giving somebody that is on trial for murdering her kids a million dollars? Go give that s–t to a charity.”
