Usually, when Donald Trump says something, everyone hears it loud and clear. Or, he reiterates his point in a wildly long Truth Social post at 3 a.m. But when he exited Marine One in a moment caught on camera and shared on X, Trump seems to have a few not-so-kind words with one of the pilots that no one actually heard.
Then, a lip reader figured out what Trump might have said to the pilot when he left Marine One, and it’s pretty juicy as far as Trump altercations in public go. Then he failed to salute Marines standing outside the chopper. Was it his worst public moment to date? Probably not. But it didn’t make Trump look great.
Donald Trump seemed agitated with the pilot.
Yesterday, Donald Trump appear to be angry at the pilot as he exited Marine One!

I can tell that the pilot wants to get out of there!
He also didn't salute the Marines as he make his way off Marine One!

In the video, Trump talks to a pilot who is not seen from the cockpit. Trump says something that is not picked up by any microphone as he points a finger at the unnamed pilot. Then, he leaves Marine One and walks down the steps. At this point, he still looks annoyed, but he doesn’t say anything else. According to a lip reader, per The Mirror US, though, Trump likely had some not-so-nice words during the interaction.
A body language expert, Judi James, said that Trump’s hand motions and body language points to a potential issue that he had with the way the helicopter was landed.
“He seems to point to the pilot first to personalize the message before that hand comes down two or three times in a quick, staccato movement,” she explained. “At one point, he seems about to turn slightly before going back to make the point again with the same flattened hand gesture, the sharpness of which has probably led to the speculation that this was an angry then a preoccupied mood.”
In the video, Trump is returning to Washington, D.C. after a trip to New Jersey. It’s possible that the way Marine One was landed was shaky, or had wind to contend with, in addition to other weather patterns. But if Trump had an issue with the way the Pilot landed the helicopter, he might have used this opportunity to chew him out.
A lip reader thinks she knows what Donald Trump said on Marine One.

Lip reader Nicola Hickling said that Trump says in the video, “That’s enough for me today.” He also reportedly tells the pilot, “We’re done.” Those potential words do go along with the body language he exhibits in the video. Although the lip reading points to Trump being demeaning toward a Marine pilot, according to critics on Reddit, the behavior isn’t exactly surprising.
“Trump’s not really a detail man,” one user wrote. “And, let’s face ît, a helicopter pilot is one of the ‘little people’ who seem to annoy him so much. Like most voters.”
Another person wrote, “You know when my grandma started to get dementia, there was a phase where she’d get angry over nothing. She’d get confused about whatever situation she was in and get upset, she didn’t understand what was going on. I think it’s pretty common for dementia patients as the disease gets worse.”
Afterward, Donald Trump didn’t give a proper salute to waiting soldiers.
No salute either. He’s definitely having a Trumper tantrum.

Looking at his hand gestures my guess is they had to pull back up a couple times before landing.
And he was giving them a lesson in how to fly a marine helicopter. https://t.co/s1QE9vEgbz
As the video continues, Trump digs himself deeper with critics by not saluting the Marine soldiers standing by, waiting for him to disembark and walk down the mat laid out for him. This was another issue people raised after the video was released on social media. It was not only Trump’s potential disrespect toward the pilot, but also his inability to stop and properly salute the soldiers that added to the discourse about Trump’s Marine One incident.
