Officers Rush Over To 6-Year-Old’s Home After They See A Kind Letter He Wrote In School

It isn't uncommon for a kid to want to be a police officer when he or she grows up. It's often one of the first professions that children learn about.

Police officers are present in kids' lives from a very young age and their role is something that many children are taught to understand and respect. They are there to protect you, your family, and friends. This is something many children appreciate on some level.

So when 6-year-old Sammy Daneman's teacher asked him to write a letter to any first responders that he wanted to, the Texas boy chose police officers as the recipients.

Daneman wrote a thank-you letter to the Fort Worth Police Department to express his appreciation for their protection of not only him, but all of the people in his life.

After reading the boy's sweet letter, police decided to show their gratitude for his kind words in fine fashion.

A half dozen police cruisers parked in front of Daneman's house and a helicopter flew in the air above him as he met with police officers.

He got to spend the afternoon with them, and was even able to test out some of their equipment.

If you've never seen an adorable 6-year-old basking in all of his hero-worshipping glory, then you have to check out this video!
