It's always devastating news to hear that your family member or loved one has been diagnosed with cancer.
However, it's always just the opposite feeling when they are finally finished with their treatment and have won their battle.
So, for the Dove family, they had a bit of bittersweet news all at once.
Ryan and Erin Dove have three beautiful little girls. Maddie, the eldest, and Lily and Bailey, identical twins.
When their little girl, Lily, was first diagnosed with leukemia, they were devastated. But they knew that she could and would fight through the horrible battle that laid ahead.
And finally, she did. She was about to be finished with her chemotherapy treatments when her twin sister, Bailey, started showing similar symptoms.
When they took her in to be checked out, they were given another heartbreaking diagnosis of cancer.
But the beauty of it all is that she had already been there for her sister through it. She knew the good and the bad, the ups and the downs. But she also knew that if her sister beat it, that she could too, with Lily by her side.
This family proves what strength, love, and pride are. I think they are a force to be reckoned with.
These little girls are proof that the little boys like Thomas Moore, are doing a great deed. Inspiration on top of inspiration!
