Cameras Catch Anchor Crying On Live TV, Then Co-Host Realizes It’s Her Fault For Leaving

We're used to news anchors being unemotional as they convey information about some of the most heartbreaking, tragic events. Somehow, they manage to keep their composure.

However, WRIC news anchor Morgan Dean could not hide what he was feeling when he knew his co-anchor of Good Morning Richmond, Amie McLain, was leaving after six years with the station.

McLain was moving on to devote her life to her faith, by becoming a media director at a ministry. Still, it was difficult for Dean to know they wouldn't be working together ever again.

After returning from a commercial break, Dean bursts into tears. The cameras don't stop rolling.

"It's Amie's last day with us," he says. "Every day coming to work just a joy. So much fun. I feel like you're my sister. Best of luck, we're going to miss you."

Dean can barely speak through the tears that muffle his tears. McLain knew that as soon as he began to cry she would too.

"It has been a joy to be here on a desk with you. To work the hours that we do, you really have to work with people that you love. This is definitely not goodbye," McLain.

When you spend every day with someone, they quickly become your family. Who could blame either of these two for sharing their special bond with the viewers who watched them each morning?
