When you're a mother, you'll always be concerned about your children's well-being.
From the hair on their head to the tips of their toes, the worrying seems to never stop. At least according to my mom, that is.
But I think that's a good thing. Moms do have the hardest job in the world if you ask me, and they are responsible for whatever lives they bring into the world. So if you're worrying, you're kind of doing your job, right?
Whatever your opinion on the worry warts of motherhood, the mom you'll meet below is someone we can all feel for.
Alyssa and her husband Michael gave birth to twin girls, Isabella and Madeline. The delivery process and getting out of the hospital was a breeze compared to what they were walking into a little bit down the line.
When they took their baby girls for a routine checkup, the doctors noticed their bellies were swollen. They were both diagnosed with a rare cancer.
The situation the parents found themselves in was so rare, there were very few options. But they knew they couldn't give up.
Although the survival rate through treatment wasn't high, that's what they had to do.
And thank God they did.
Their two baby girls survived a long hard battle, and now we get to see them all grown-up. Well, almost!
Now, every birthday is an extra special celebration.
