Young, Clever Job Hunter Disguises His Résumé As A Box Of Doughnuts

Getting your dream job — or any job for that matter — is pretty difficult in this day and age.

Since there is so much competition and almost everything is done electronically, there is an easier chance for your information to get lost in a digital sea of other emails.

This means that you just have to hope that your résumé stands out among the pile of other potential employees — or gets seen at all!

But there are some job searchers out there that are eager to stand out among the rest, by any means possible.

They get this done in pretty creative ways, whether it is stalking recruiters online, adding visuals and punchy touches to their résumés, or even handing them out on the street like this college grad did.

But one particular tech industry hopeful came up with a very clever plan to get his résumé seen — he disguised it as a box of doughnuts!

Check below to learn more about his brilliant scheme.

Job hunting is incredibly difficult in this day and age — because of all the competition, there is no guarantee that your résumé will even make it to a pair of eyes!

Lukas Yla was fully aware of this dilemma, so he concocted a way that would ensure his name stood out among the rest.

After moving to San Francisco, he was eager to get a job in the city's prosperous tech industry.

But, while everyone else was sending in their résumés electronically, he was busy making a disguise.

After cloaking himself as a courier from Postmates, a network of people that deliver goods locally, he bought a few boxes of doughnuts.

Then he tucked a note strategically inside the box, with the header, "Most résumés end up in trash. Mine — in your belly."

All that was left for him to do was get the boxes inside the office spaces and in front of the hiring staff — which should be a pretty easy feat considering everyone loves doughnuts.

Once the boxes were opened, the note would be immediately noticeable.

After his catchy title, Yla explained his ruse in the note, while expressing his interest in the company and listing his credentials.

He even included a link to his LinkedIn profile so that interested recruiters would be able to learn more.
