Sometimes kids grow up without getting the chance to meet their biological parents. Whether it's because the parents are unable to care for their child, or because the parents are no longer alive, the reason is always unfortunate.
But sometimes those unfortunate circumstances can turn around if you find someone out there who wants to be your mother or father.
Brandon Bakke already has his mother by his side, but he recently started questioning her about his biological father.
When she gave him the answers he needed, they weren't exactly what he wanted.
She told him that his father had passed away, a moment that I'm sure neither of them will ever forget. Because although he may not have known his dad personally, he was still a part of Bakke.
Then Bakke found out that his dad was buried without a marker.
Even though this young boy knows that his dad may not have made all the right decisions in life, he wanted him to be remembered.
So he started mowing lawns and working any way he could to raise money to buy his dad a gravestone.
In the end, he did it. He and his mother were both in tears when they got the grand reveal.
We could all learn a thing or two from this kind, wise 11-year-old.
