Families come in all different shapes and sizes — no two look exactly alike!
And though some may look different from the general ideal of a "normal" family, that doesn't mean that they have any less fun or love to go around.
Some families include parents or children with varying disabilities, who rely on devices or a wheelchair in order to operate around their day, like this dad who opened an amazing book store.
Glen Dick from Chalfont, Pennsylvania, has a similar situation, being a wheelchair user since having an accident at age 25.
But that doesn't stop him from having tons of fun with his wife and daughter, or traveling around adventuring with them.
He has even incorporated his unique adventuring experiences with his family into a children's book.
This sweet account of a daughter and her father in a wheelchair is an important account about a unique family dynamic — and it's sure to be an inspiration for any reader in a similar situation!

When Glen Dick became paralyzed after breaking his neck at age 25, he was certain that a normal family life, including having a child, was out of the realm of possibility.
But then he met his future wife Monica and the two ended up having a baby girl named Elaina.

The little girl and her daddy shared an incredible bond from the minute she was placed on his lap, and have since enjoyed playing around together, helping each other around the house, and riding in the wheelchair.
"I love watching Glen and Elaina together. They have such a special, unique bond that is so different from most father-daughter relationships," explained Monica to Daily Mail.

The family has also enjoyed many adventures around the country, including sledding, hiking, and kayaking.
Dick’s disability doesn’t seem to be holding him back at all from having amazing experiences, and he credits the 6-year-old Elaina for giving him his new outlook on life.

He has even turned all of their adventures into a children’s book called We Can Go Anywhere: My Adventures On Daddy’s Chair.
It is definitely an inspiring example of daddy-daughter dynamics and includes inspiring lines like, “I know it may look like a wheelchair. But when I am on his lap, we can go anywhere.”

The book helps highlight the idea of rising past limitations and showcases a family dynamic that deviates from the norm.
"I am so happy that the book, which was inspired by the unique relationship I have with my daughter, is showing both children and adults to look past their limitations,” explains Dick.

He and Elaina will soon be visiting rehabilitation centers and hospitals with copies of the kids book.
Hopefully this will inspire others like Dick to exceed what they think is impossible for their bodies and live the lives that they want.
