When I was young I loved going on adventures with my family. There was always somewhere to go or something to see. We would hike in the mountains or go fishing by a river, and I always hoped I would spot something extraordinary on these trips so I could tell my friends all about it.
As fun as they were, we never witnessed anything newsworthy. But one father–son duo can claim quite the opposite after a fishing trip on Shasta Lake in California.
The two were in a boat, on the lake, when they witnessed a strange sight. It looked like two furry blobs breaching the surface.
As they got closer to the animals, they made an unbelievable realization: They were mountain lions, swimming from one end of the lake to the other!
It was a strange sight indeed, and they accidentally got within feet of the fierce creatures. They respected their space, keeping very still and silent, merely catching the incident on video to show their friends.
Surely, this is a tale they'll tell others for many more years to come! Would you believe it without the video evidence?
