Her Tummy Feels Strange, Then She Spots The Unthinkable In The Toilet Bowl — A Baby

When Lara was 23 years old, she had the life most young people dream of. She spent much of her time going out with friends, partying, and planning for her future.

Lara always dreamed of owning her very own business, and was carving that path for herself. On the first day of a new job, Lara began to feel very sick. At home, she ran for the bathroom to vomit, but as soon as she sat down on the toilet something unbelievable happened.

She had given birth to a baby boy. She called out to her father, who picked up the baby and wrapped him in a towel. Then she went to the hospital. Surprisingly, doctors told her that this happens more often than most would think.

About one in 500 pregnancies result in the mother not realizing she is pregnant until she is in labor. Lara had her period the whole time, her belly never protruded, and there was no indication that she should take a pregnancy test.

While in the hospital, Lara texted the father and told him she unexpectedly had a baby. The couple named him Hudson. They weren't in a relationship at the time, so she wasn't quite sure how to tell him or how he would react.

"I told him over a really bad text message; it said something like, 'Hey, James, so something weird happened this morning. I had a baby lol,'" Lara says.

Fortunately, James was very supportive and is a part of Hudson's life. While Lara's life didn't go exactly as expected, she admits that Hudson has helped her to focus on what is really important in life. The mother has now launched her own business.
