Presley Brown is an 11-year-old girl who loves to joke around. One day she was playing on her phone, using the popular app Musical.ly. She was making a fun music video to share with her friends, when she went to put her phone down.
"And it falls over and I look," Presley explained, repeating the same motions that she had gone through on one of the scariest days of her life.
Presley was alone in her room — or so she thought. The 11 -year-old blonde shifted her glance to her closet and what she saw next was startling.
She spotted a complete stranger lurking in her colorful closet. For now, we'll call him "creepy closet man."
She did not know why or how long he was there, but it didn't matter. There was only one thing that she could do in that very moment.
"I start screaming bloody murder," Presley recalled.
Suddenly, the creepy closet man began to speak, his words absolutely bone-chilling.
According to Presley, the man waiting in her closet told her, "Don't be scared, little girl."
With that, Presley took off, just as anyone else would have done.
Hearing their daughter's helpless cries, Presley's parents ran to her side as she sobbed in the hallway. Her father stormed through her room and into the closet, where he brawled with the creepy closet man.
Presley then ran to her neighbor's house to call the police. She remembered seeing the intruder hop over her fence to escape —he must have slipped away from Mr. Brown during their scuffle in the house. Unfortunately, the creepy closet man sprinted away with $100 of Presley's birthday money. But not for long.
The police eventually located and captured the intruder, named Race Cox.
Although Presley now looks over her a lot more these days, it is important to remember that this situation could have gone in a much more terrifying direction. Luckily, everyone came out of it unscathed.
