Exhausted Nurse Forgets To Close Car Door, Then Finds Cop’s Note About It In Driver’s Seat

Moms have the incredible ability to think of everything and multitask in ways that can easily baffle even the most organized person. But they're not immune to mistakes. Sometimes they forget an item on the grocery list, or put on two different shoes. All these little mishaps are forgivable, and even expected!

But when one mom forgot to close the sliding door of her van, her mistake could have had major consequences. Anyone could have gone inside the car and stolen belongings, or even the car itself!

Missy Olsen Jarvis, who is also a nurse, didn't realize what she had done until she returned to her car and saw a note in the driver's seat. It was from a cop from the Lynchburg Police Department, who had taken it upon himself to help her avoid a potential disaster. Not only did he close the door, but he even left a little gift for her kids!

Mom Missy Olsen Jarvis is also a nurse, and an exhausted one at that! She forgot to close her van door one day, and came back to the car to find a note from an officer with the Lynchburg Police Department.

She had to thank the officer in a note to the police department:

I wanted to share a small kindness that was paid to me yesterday. I am a RN, and was working at Virginia Baptist Hospital. As stated, I must’ve been tired when I walked away from my van, and left the back sliding door open. After my shift, I found this note in my driver’s seat with junior badges for my little ones. Thank you Officer Sacks and all of LPD for all you do….even taking care of over tired Nurse’s/Mama’s when we are absent-minded!

As for the note, it read:

Good morning. While driving past your vehicle, I noticed the rear left door was open.

I shut the door for you so nobody takes the child seats especially with the holidays right around the corner.

I left 2 sticker badges for the kids also.

If anything is missing, I will be more than happy to come back out. Happy Holidays! Ofc. Sacks.
