It's the most wonderful time of year to spruce up your home for the season, trim the tree, deck the halls, and so much more. Decorating for the holidays is the perfect way to gather the family for special traditions like decorating the home with wreaths, holly and pre-lit Christmas trees. If you're crafty, you can add festive touches around your home with creative DIY decorations that can be put together in no time.
This year, instead of throwing out those burned-out lightbulbs, why not make some adorable penguin Christmas ornaments out of them? It's truly a great way to upcycle, while also adding a new festive touch to your home.
Start this project by collecting your burned-out lightbulbs. You'll then need some paint and whatever extra fabric you have around the house in order to complete these adorable DIY Christmas ornaments, converting waste materials into new, unique decorations.
These old lightbulbs look great painted in black and white to create unique penguin ornaments. After the paint dries, you can simply add ribbon to the tops and hang them from a tree! If you want to get more creative, add a scarf or hat.
Kids will love helping to make these cute ornaments. They can even write names on the penguins before hanging them up on the Christmas tree. Just make sure there is adult supervision while making this craft.
The next time your lightbulbs burn out, grab some paint to make a penguin ornament! Will you make this at home? Let us know!
