Mom Mysteriously Disappears, Then Family Finds Her Car At The Bottom Of A Ravine 12 Hours Later

A quick trip to the store turned into a nightmare for one Mississippi woman.

When she told her family she was popping out to run a quick errand, she had no idea she would be spending over 12 hours trapped at the bottom of a ravine.

Debbie Kackley left her house around 5 p.m. to use the ATM at a local store. With every hour that passed, her family became increasingly worried.

The family finally contacted authorities to report her missing around 1:30 a.m., after having already started their own search.

The family desperately swept the winding roads and densely covered area surrounding their home, until something caught the eye of one of the family members.

Debbie's sister, Mary, spotted a cluster of broken branches at the edge of a steep ravine. Instantly, she knew they found her sister.

"My Aunt Mary and Uncle Charles, they were helping look, and they just pulled up… She said she just had like a feeling," recalls Debbie's daughter, Dell, as she gestures toward the densely lined edge of the road. "She'd seen the limbs over there pushed down."

Two hundred feet below them, they spotted Debbie's car buried under thick brush. She was rescued shortly after they discovered her and is currently in the hospital receiving medical treatment. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident, but the family is just grateful to have their mom alive.
