Sick Bride-To-Be Had To Call Off Her Wedding, Then Nurses Hand Her An Invitation

When 33-year-old Becky Bradley's boyfriend Jarrod proposed to her on Valentines Day, it seemed like a dream come true.

The couple met in July of 2013, around the same time when Becky discovered that a sinus infection was actually a cancerous brain tumor. Jarrod supported Becky through the ordeal, which included surgery to remove the tumor.

The procedure seemed successful until 2015, when it came back and her condition worsened. Still, Jarrod stood by Becky and even proposed to her in early 2016.

Sadly, Becky's deteriorating health meant there wasn't a lot of free time for wedding planning, and the couple feared they would never get to say "I do."

That all changed on Becky's birthday, September 22, when her doctors and nurses sat her down to give her an envelope containing an invitation to her own wedding.

Becky's team at Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina, not only threw Becky a birthday party, but also planned her dream wedding to Jarrod in a mere two weeks!

The wedding included a glam squad for Becky, as well as a local DJ, and perhaps most importantly 60 friends and family who flew in from all over the country.

The ceremony took place at a local chapel and included a very special guest – a cardboard cutout of Becky's brother who is currently serving in the Middle East.

Everyone in attendance agreed the event was beautiful and emotional. Becky's nurse said, "Becky has such a good heart, this is the least we could do for her."
