Every year around the holiday season, many families struggle to pay for the gifts they want to give their friends and family, especially the children in their lives. Many of these individuals shop anyway, with the hope that they will be able to afford their purchases with the help of programs such as the Walmart layaway.
But even if one takes advantage of this technique, the ability to pay for gadgets and toys is still up in the air.
But every year, anonymous benefactors stop inside Walmart stores and hand in checks for thousands of dollars. They're not paying for their purchases, but for those of total strangers!
One of these "layaway angels" gave away $28,000 to a Walmart in Cleveland, OH, instructing the employees to divide the money among customers with layaway accounts.
The stunned employees then got to work, calling all the recipients of the donation about the good news.
One mom was even about to cancel her layaway before getting the call. The man, who said he wanted to do this for his birthday, certainly put many smiles on the faces of frustrated and worried families, who were afraid to spend money they didn't already have.
Now, the customers whose purchases were all paid for are convinced that it's their turn to pay it forward.
