Many of us can relate to the horrible, stomach-sinking feeling of being pulled over. The red and blue lights go on and you begin to make a mental checklist of all the things that you could have possibly done wrong.
Of course, sometimes if you're polite, lucky, and not committing a felony, you drive away with nothing more than a warning and a huge sigh of relief.
However, sometimes you can just tell by the way the officer says, "License and registration, please?" that you'll be getting more than just a slap on the wrist.
The last thing anyone wants to spend money on over the holidays is a traffic ticket. Filling the space underneath the Christmas tree is tough enough without having to pay a fine.
That's what store owner Dylan Bullinger thought when he saw a woman being pulled over in front of his shop in Jackson, MS, on December 13, 2016.
A woman was pulled over by police just as she was pulling out of a 7-Eleven.
However, this isn't your typical failure to signal, even though the blue lights might suggest otherwise.
In an unexpected plot twist, this police officer hands the driver a present instead of a citation. Talk about relief.
Dylan was able to capture the moment of surprise from his store and share the act of kindness with his friends on Facebook.
Apparently, it's not the first time this police department has spread Christmas cheer. Even if their method is a little stress inducing, we can all agree that a present is a heck of a lot better than a ticket.
