You would expect the holiday season to be one of generosity, but there are always a few bad eggs in the pack, like this guy who stole an innocent boy's elf. It's amazing how some people can do these things during Christmas.
In Las Vegas, one couple decided to do something about it.
Zakk and Stefani Morris, like many people, order their Christmas gifts online.
Many delivery people drop the packages off on porches. Unfortunately for the Morrises, this made their package susceptible to would-be thieves.
Security cameras on their house captured a blonde woman stepping out of her car and taking a package right off their porch.
The package contained a pair of sneakers Zakk had ordered. The Morrises were furious, so they took action.
In an impressive sting operation, they looked online and soon enough found their same exact sneakers listed for sale. The seller looked just like the alleged thief they caught on camera.
The Morrises contacted the seller under the guise of being interested buyers. Once a meeting was agreed upon and they confirmed it was the same woman, Zakk texted her that the police were on the way.
The woman, wanting nothing to do with the authorities, quickly surrendered the shoes. All the woman's information was given to police.
"You're stealing from your neighbor at the end of the day. Even though I might not live next to you, you're still supposed to look out for the people around you," Morris said.
