Pasta is often seen as one of the toughest Italian trademarks there is. It's often seen that in order to make the perfect pasta dish, you have to be a grandmother living in Italy.
However, while it certainly takes a lot of skill and some culinary talent, making the perfect pasta is a bit easier than you'd think. In fact, it's so easy that even a kid can do it!
Chef Paul and his adorable son Frankie are in the kitchen to show the world how to make the easiest homemade pasta you've ever seen. Frankie is pretty young, but you can tell that he's already going to make quite a name for himself in the culinary world!

7-Year-Old's Amazingly Simple Pasta
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients
- 400g plain flour
- 4 plain eggs
- Salt
Instructions
- For a 1lb batch lay 14 ounces of flour reserving the other 2 for dusting as you roll.
- On a clean working surface, lay flour down in a circle, and create a "well" shape.
- Sprinkle on salt.
- Start by whisking the eggs, and gradually combine with flour.
- The resulting dough is kneaded for about 10 minutes, allowed to rest, and then rolled out and passed through a pasta machine.
- Cut the finished sheets into tagliatelle, or pappardelle and cook the ribbons for a couple of minutes in a pot of boiling, heavily salted water.
Sample to taste, and when the pasta is done, run it through a strainer! Firm, with a silky texture, this pasta will always leave your friends and family begging for more! Add some butter and you've got a taste of the old country right at home!
