Grandma Notices Small Bump On Granddaughter’s Back, Then Doctors Insist They Go To Hospital

Kayla's fifth birthday was far from a cakewalk.

The adorable little girl's grandmother noticed a small bump on her back and suggested her parents get it checked. Thankfully, her parents listened.

When they took her in, doctors performed an MRI on the angelic 5-year-old, and they found every parent's worst nightmare.

Kayla had a tumor wrapped around her spine. She was immediately sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.

When they got there the family's life changed both for the good and the bad, according to her father. Because they kept their beliefs, faith, and prayers strong, their beautiful little girl made it out of three rounds of chemotherapy treatment alive.

She's been a patient at St. Jude for over seven years now, and she finally has a full head of hair and toothy smile to show for it!

The people at St. Jude saved her life and made sure her family's financial status did not interrupt her treatment.

The many employees, doctors, friends, and family members made her survival story happen, and we can only hope she never has to deal with the horrific disease again.
