376-Pound Woman Takes Bottles Of Pills To Survive, But Ditches Them When She Totally Transforms

At her heaviest, NaTasha Glaspy weighed 376 pounds. That was in March 2015, when she was taking four different medications to keep her Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol under control.

Now, she's dropped to 213 pounds — a staggering 160-pound weight loss — all because she joined a fitness class at her local YMCA.

NaTasha says that she was a little nervous to take the class, but when she saw others trying to achieve a weight-loss goal, it encouraged her to put her best foot forward and change her life.

As the pounds started falling off, she discovered an added benefit of exercise: she no longer had to take the bottles of pills. Her doctor was impressed with her improved health and started taking her off the various medications.

Now, just under a year since she began her wellness journey, she doesn't need them at all!

But NaTasha and her trainer, as well as other health professionals, insist that while a weight-loss goal helps motivate one to exercise and eat right, being healthy is about changing one's lifestyle for the long term.

NaTasha's story is just more proof that anything is possible when you set your mind to it, even if reaching that goal seems daunting and impossible.
