In 2015, stylists Stacy and Clinton from What Not to Wear found a woman named Tristen who was walking around in expensive clothing, looking unbelievably cheap. So they picked her as the next client for their makeover show.
When they go to surprise her for a makeover in the video below, she doesn’t seem to want one, and as the process continues you can see that she’s offended — so offended that she becomes defensive. The show even claims she is one of their toughest clients yet!
But, being the dynamic duo that they are, Stacy and Clinton quickly try to get Tristen to be honest with them and they get to the root of the problem: Tristen is insecure. And although none of us may be able to tell why, because she’s a beautiful woman, Stacy and Clinton work their magic in getting her to be confident without being so revealing.
At first, she wears all form-fitting, cleavage-enhancing clothes with huge heels. But when they’re done with her, they get her to realize her natural beauty with much simpler wardrobe choices!
