Mom Is Embarrassed By Noisy Kids, Then Waitress Leaves A Receipt With A Note About Their Kids

Mitch and Carmen Newman have a family of three young children. Going out to eat with them can be a bit of a ruckus. Little did they know this would lead to a stunning act of kindness. During one family outing at White Rose restaurant in Missouri in 2013, their son and daughter were running around, yelling, and playing with the jukebox.

Carmen was a little embarrassed that her kids were making so much noise and tried to quiet them down. The energetic kids were just having a good time as kids do, but Mitch and Carmen were aware there were other customers at the restaurant.

What they didn't expect was for one of those customers to be watching so closely. They hadn't realized they were being observed until the waitress dropped off their receipt.

"God bless. From a Christian from Louisiana. I love children, amen," the note read.

The Newman family was stunned to see their bill had been paid for by the kind strangers who turned out the be a couple. Mitch quickly caught them on their way out only to discover that the husband had been through quite a bit himself.

The anonymous helper revealed he had been diagnosed with melanoma and had been told he only had three months to live, but had lived for four years since then.

The simple kind gesture was enough to show Mitch and Carmen that there are still kind people out there — people who selflessly act without expecting anything in return.
