No parent ever wants to hear that their child is going to live with a disability, even before they are brought into this world.
Moms and dads want their children to thrive and grow, and they can't help but be a little bit sad that their baby will face extra challenges along the road of life — but they'll never give up hope for a better tomorrow!
In a video posted on January 26, 2017, we meet Jordan Cox. This happy mom was already 20 weeks pregnant with her soon-t0-be baby daughter when she got the terrible news about her condition.
Doctors told Jordan and her husband that their baby, whom they would name Poppy, had a spinal cord that wasn't developing properly. At the rate things were going, they predicted that Poppy would have little feeling in her legs and limited mobility.
Referring to the heartbreak she underwent as a mom — knowing that her daughter would live a hard life — Jordan said: "Most of the time when you're pregnant, you're excited for your baby to be born. I just remember being scared of her.”
Although she was nervous, Jordan decided to let doctors operate on Poppy's spine while she was still in the womb, hoping that it would make a difference. But doctors still predicted that her little baby girl would still never be able to crawl.
But then, something amazing happened. After Poppy was born and started to develop, she showed amazing signs that hinted doctors might have been wrong — and then proved that to be true in this amazing footage below. But you'll have to watch it to find out for yourself!
