Mom Thinks TV Shout-Out Is The Surprise, But Cries ‘Oh My God’ Through Tears When She Turns Around

Battling a severe illness is never an easy task, but being surrounded by loved ones truly makes a world of difference.

They are there for the emotional roller coaster that seems to change from day to day, and they also help see the light in the darkness — just like this husband did when he took his ill wife on a trip to Mexico. Now he's a keeper!

On a clip posted October 20, 2016, Joanne Jantz got the surprise of a lifetime while standing in a crowd watching the Today show.

Mother-of-two Joanne was fighting breast cancer and had to leave her family behind in order to seek treatment. She was trying to make the best of the situation by going out and being with other people, not letting her illness take complete control of her life.

This amazing woman found her strength through looking toward the fictional character Wonder Woman, a symbol of feminine strength that helped her believe she was going to “kill some cancer.”

Joanne was in a crowd with hundreds of others when Hoda Kotb made her feel special on national television with a shout-out, which according to Hoda was all Joanne's family's doing. But the surprises weren't over just yet — as a matter of fact, they had just begun.

The crew geared her up with sound-blocking headphones and a blindfold, then positioned her in the prime location for the most epic reveal yet — along with a reaction to match. But you'll have to watch the video below to find out what it is!
