With Luke Bryan, the Super Bowl has finally gone country!
This country megastar put on his patriotic boots and got up to the microphone to belt out his best rendition of this country's anthem.
It is so wonderful to hear a new version of a song that has been sung by so many people, whether famous or not.
Luke did the national anthem a great deal of justice in this performance: it wasn't too flashy, and it had just the right amount of flare and class to be a perfect opener for the Super Bowl!
And right after Luke hit the stage, former President George H.W. Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush took the field to do the coin toss. Now that is how you start the big game!
Since Lady Gaga performed the national anthem last year and was the halftime act at this Super Bowl, I wonder if we can look forward to a country halftime show next year?
