335-Pound Mom Leaves Doctor Afraid For Her Life, So She Immediately Starts Walking Every Day

During visits to the doctor, we always hope to hear good news about our health, and any warning a medical professional gives us is taken very seriously. For mom Monica McConico, it was the push she needed to change her life and get healthier.

Her entire life, she had always been plus-size. But when she tipped the scale at 335 pounds she realized that to save her life, she needed to ditch her bad habits.

Her doctor warned her that her high blood pressure could lead to a stroke. And to make matters worse, she felt herself often getting faint as a result of her condition.

She started small by walking and pushed herself every day to accumulate more and more steps.

Before she knew it, she was making strides in her journey to better health: She has totally eliminated soda from her diet and has cut out consumption of pork and beef.

Now, three years after that scary doctor's visit, she's down 140 pounds and about half her size! It wasn't just seeing the results of her hard work that motivated her to continue, but her kids as well. She often looks in the mirror and says that she wonders if it's really her!

Monica has even started her own fitness program, Journey 2 Fit, a support group tackling fitness challenges.
