Son Is In Brutal Car Crash, But When Cops Find Him, He Doesn’t Have A Scratch

Genevieve Buckmiller always took the safety of her son very seriously. She enrolled in a car seat safety class and carefully researched the best seat.

Her attention and care ended up saving her son's life in a horrible car crash. When she was just two miles from home, a driver rear-ended her at 60 mph. The car flipped over and spun across the freeway.

“I didn’t see it coming, I didn’t hear anything until the actual impact,” she said. “We ended up spinning and flipping on the freeway across about four lanes of traffic.”

According to Fox 13, car accidents are the number one cause of fatalities in kids under the age of 12. Car seats reduce the risk of death or injury by 71 percent.

Miraculously, when Genevieve went to check on her son, he was completely unharmed, snug his carseat, just upside down. There wasn't a scratch on him.

“You can be the safest driver out there, and you can say, ‘Oh, I am a good driver and my kid will be fine just buckled up or just hanging out,’” she said, “but in our situation, there was nothing that I was doing that I could’ve changed.”

The only thing the mother had in her control was the safety precautions she could take, and in this instance, her decisions truly paid off.

“That car seat really saved him.”
