Jared Ahlin and his wife Makelle Ahlin went in for a routine ultrasound. The Santaquin, Utah, couple were withholding the gender of the baby from themselves until the day of the delivery for a surprise.
However, they didn't expect that a different kind of surprise would come during their first ultrasound. The mother of two is 22 weeks pregnant with her third baby.
While the doctor was showing the happy couple images of their baby, Jared demanded the doctor go back. When he noticed what the baby was doing, the doting dad had to have a copy of the image.
It appeared the little one was throwing up the "rock-and-roll" sign with their index finger and pinkie pointed up.
“She [the doctor] kind of went passed it, and I was just like, ‘Hey, go back, I need that picture!'” Jared said.
The Ahlin family swears the ultrasound wasn't digitally altered or edited to look this way — they even have printed copies from the doctor's office to prove it.
“Our boys are very activem I guess, so it probably sounds like they will fit in to the family,” Jared said.
We can only imagine what kind of music mom and dad must be playing to warrant this reaction from baby. Maybe a little "Stairway to Heaven" in the nursery when the little kiddo is born?
