The key to a good surprise, in my opinion, is all in the mystery. Catching someone off guard is necessary to maximizing how big the surprise is. For example, this little girl, who all her life had been allergic to dogs, was taken to a pet store to buy a guinea pig. Instead, her mom surprised her with a hypoallergenic puppy! See what I mean? The wife in the video below understands this well, as she surprised her soldier husband, and he had no clue what was waiting for him!
The video below begins with the couple in their car in Oceanside, California, where the wife has just caught her soldier husband completely off guard.
"Me and the kids have a surprise for you, and I need you to hang on!"
He was left speechless, but a smile played at the corners of his mouth, and he curiously asked what kind of a surprise it was.
She said she wasn't telling and quickly ran from the car, leaving him inside.
She ran into their home and aimed the camera at the door before finally unlocking it for him so he could enter.
Smile plastered on his face, the soldier husband walked in, and instantly exclaimed, "Are you serious?" after seeing what was in his wife's arms.
