Megan Gibson's due day came and went, and there was no sign that her second child with deputy Roger Gibson was ready to come into the world. Three days later, her water broke.
However, Megan didn't think there was a need to rush. It was only when she started to feel very uncomfortable that the mom agreed to be taken to the hospital.
The couple started making their way there when Roger looked at his wife and noticed that her belly was cone-shaped. There was no doubt about it: the baby was on his way, and he could even see his head!
The dad acted quickly, calling 911 and pulling over. He was ready to catch the child, who came very quickly.
Authorities were on the scene within minutes, but the baby was already in his mother's arms. Both were rushed to the hospital, where they were confirmed to be in good health!
The dad is extremely proud of this experience, as nerve-racking as it must have been.
He tells Fox 8 Cleveland, "I was so excited because it's one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life. I saw my daughter come into this world but I delivered my son. It was an awesome experience."
