It looked like Emily Beecher lost everything in a fire that totally destroyed her home. It seemed impossible that the blackened and charred remains of the house could hide anything that may have survived the flames.
Nevertheless, the widow, her son, and her daughter-in-law visited the debris, trying to salvage anything they ould get their hands on. They found a few family photos, but they thought they were unlikely to find anything else.
The house was consumed by the fire in just minutes, but luckily Emily was able to escape with her life. The house itself was just as dear to her as its contents: she had dreamed of moving into the house with her husband, who sadly passed away before this could happen. Emily nonetheless kept his memory close, making the house as much his as it was hers.
After the fire, Emily thought that there was nothing left of his to hold onto, but she came across a "needle in a haystack" on camera, while sifting through the wreckage: against all odds, she found his wedding ring!
This was enough for the widow to proclaim that it was a "wonderful day" despite the tragedy, taking everyone around her by surprise.
Emily has a long and tough road ahead of her, but surely her discovery has lifted her spirits!
