Man Gets New License 2 Months After Losing It. When He Sees It, He Realizes They Made A Mistake

When 22-year-old Charles Wade-Palmer applied for a new license, he thought he was going to be able to live a full life as an adult: drive a car, go to bars, and do other typical things young people enjoy on a regular basis. He waited two months after losing his old ID card before getting a new one.

But when he saw it, he was stunned: This wasn't the license he was expecting to receive.

All the information was correct, with the exception of his picture. Though it was his, it was long out of date: the photo was of him at age 11!

The young man used the photo when he applied for a provisional license at the age of 16. It was accidentally reused instead of the more current one he submitted.

Charles has tried using the ID to purchase alcohol and is often asked for a second form of identification.

He's been told that he will have to wait until he's 26 years old before getting a new one with the correct photo. However, we hope that this mishap will be corrected before then!
