Kids Watch Video Of Soldier Parents At Game, Have No Idea They Just Snuck Up Behind Them

Young siblings Daniel, 10 years old, and Isabella, five years old, live in Tampa, Florida, with their grandparents. Prior to the video below, they hadn't seen their parents in nine months, but thanks to a little help from the New York Yankees, that was about to change!

Daniel and Isabella have been apart from their parents for so long because of the married couple's sworn duty to their country.

Chief Warrant Officer Jose Gomez and his wife, Captain Elizabeth Gomez, had both been deployed overseas; Jose was in Iraq, and Elizabeth was in Kuwait.

During the New York Yankees' spring game baseball matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays, they decided to invite Daniel, Isabella, and their grandparents to be honored, with the kids given the chance to throw out the first pitch.

Before doing so, the kids were told to watch a video on the Jumbotron, which contained a message from their parents.

Little did they know that, just a few feet behind them, Jose and Elizabeth, disguised as players, had scampered over to home plate to catch their kids' pitches.

When the kids turned back around and tossed the pitches, their parents caught the balls, and after looking at each other, ran over to Daniel and Isabella, removing their masks and revealing themselves as they did so.

They embraced their parents on the field, tears and hugs aplenty for all!
