Teen Hears Loud Band Playing Outside Her House, But Has No Idea The Music Is For Her

In Vestavia Hills, Alabama, prom season is in full swing for high school seniors, so asking his girlfriend to the prom has been on Walker Burroughs's mind. With the help of his band, Walter might have just broken the record for most romantic "promposal" in the town!

According to Walker, he and his girlfriend, India Ellison, have been together for a long time.

His "long time" was actually just a few months. Regardless, he realized he was running late on asking her to prom, so he wanted to do something creative.

Although India had been making fun of him for not asking her sooner, she had no idea what he had in store for her!

He got together with his friends, part of the "Mutton Chops Band," and set upon India's house at night.

In the video below, you will see the teen's reaction to the surprise promposal.

"I heard the trombone start, so I knew it was going to be Walker, but I didn't know what it was, though!" she recalled.

In fact, when India stepped outside her house, she found Walker there, holding a bouquet of flowers, with the band lined up behind him.

They all carried instruments and were playing "Stand By Me," the classic song by Ben E. King.

Walker was singing to the tune, but he had changed some of the lyrics, singing, "So darling, go to prom with me!"

Suffice it to say, India accepted his promposal!
