Everyone hopes for a beautiful love story to call their own, but we doubt anyone can top the inspiring romance between two lifelong sweethearts who got engaged with a spectacular Chick-fil-A proposal!
The lovebirds in question are named Nick and Sarah, and they've been friends for practically their whole lives. Both of them have Down syndrome, a chromosomal difference that impacts just .1 percent of the population.
They've been friends their whole lives — the duo first meet at age 3 — and a romance blossomed as they grew up together.
Like the young man who staged a speeding ticket to propose, Nick finally decided it was time to make things official and ask Sarah to be his wife.
So, he brought his significant other out on a date to their favorite spot, the local Chick-fil-A in South Mopac, Texas.
There, he got down on one knee, stunning fellow diners and causing a collective swoon as he popped the question!

A Chick-fil-A restaurant in South Mopac, Texas, made the whole internet swoon this week after posting photos of a truly adorable proposal that took place right inside their location.
The restaurant chain posted a series of pictures to their Facebook page showing the engagement of a young couple named Nick and Sarah.
The post quickly took off across the web, with hundreds of reactions online.
Eventually, it landed on image-sharing site Imgur, where thousands more spread the story further!
Alongside the photos, the restaurant added the caption:
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE HAPPY COUPLE ON THEIR ENGAGEMENT!!!
Nick and Sarah have known each other since they were 3 years old!
And tonight, he built up the courage to ask for her hand in marriage!
How sweet is that!?
Pretty darn sweet, if you ask us!
Nick and Sarah went to the restaurant to enjoy an ordinary meal… or so Sarah thought.
Then, Nick grabbed her by the hand and pulled her up from the table.
He got down on one knee and produced a ring, asking his longtime love to be his wife.
As the restaurant noted, the duo have been an item for years.
Sarah, naturally, answered with an emphatic "yes!"
Nick, meanwhile, produced a beautiful ring for his bride-to-be, though there was one small dilemma: he accidentally selected the wrong ring size!
This is a very common proposal mishap, and Sarah took it in stride. She slipped the ring on up to her first knuckle for the photo op afterward.
Fortunately, it's easy to get a ring resized; we're sensing a trip to the jewelry store in their immediate future.
Moments after Sarah said yes, Nick swept her up in a passionate embrace. It's a beautiful moment, and all the more powerful because of the circumstances around it.
Historically, many people with Down syndrome have been prevented or discouraged from marrying because of ignorance about how the syndrome impacts people.
Now, many activists are helping to educate the public about Down syndrome, which often causes mild to moderate intellectual disability, but generally doesn't prevent people from living rich independent lives, with fulfilling work and loving romantic relationships.
We're wishing this loved-up couple a fulfilling and happy future together — congratulations Nick and Sarah!
