Every parent knows the importance of keeping a close eye on adventurous toddlers at all times. In a matter of seconds, your child could easily sneak off to another place without you knowing!
Dad Jason Smith is all too familiar with this, as he has a 2-year-old daughter at home. However, as with many parents, he thinks this is no excuse for a child to have slipped out of sight while in the hands of a day-care center.
Jason and his colleague, also a father, were driving down a slick highway on a cold, rainy day when a sight made them hit the brakes on the car.
There was a toddler right by the side of the road. Clearly, she did not belong there.
Jason and his colleague quickly scooped up the little girl and took her into their car. They cranked up the heat and tried to dry her off as best they could before contacting police.
The cops returned the child to the day care. The establishment is looking into the situation.
Thankfully, this child ended up safe and sound. Her parents likely couldn't be more relieved after such a nightmare situation.
