If you're like me, you're pretty selective when it comes to crafting projects. Personally, since I don't have a ton of artistic skill, I always look for what can get the job done easiest — and it really doesn't get any easier than these adorable washi tape crafts!
The tape has become quite trendy over the past few years, and for a good reason. Not only are there tons of super-cute designs and patterns for you to choose from — the material is adaptable to all sorts of different mediums. Plus, it doesn't leave behind any icky gunk if you decide to peel it off later.
There area so many options you can go with when it comes to washi tape, but I'm totally going to give more than a few of the projects below a shot, ASAP!
If you've ever done any of these washi tape crafts, or come up with a genius idea of your own, let us know in the comments.

1. Fridge Photo Frames
Instead of the traditional magnets, you can use the bright tape patterns to put all of your favorite snapshots on display without worrying about the sticky side leaving behind any residue when you feel like removing it.
2. Necklace Charms
This is definitely one of the most unique projects I've seen with the tape! Karen from HGTV Handmade made a double-layer out of the tape, then cut it out in a heart shape and added simple stitching for some extra durability.
3. Tea Lights
The tape is exactly the right size for wrapping around a tea light. I can't believe I never made the connection until now!
4. Phone Cases
You can do whatever pattern you'd like over a clear case, but you'll probably need a crafting knife to get the excess tape out of the hole where your camera pokes out.
5. Mini Bows
Just place the tape on scrap paper and fold it into the shape, stapling in the middle to create the two sides of the bow, then adding a smaller strip across the top and a longer strip on the bottom using a little bit of glue.
These can be used on everything from hair ties to paperclips to bookmarks.
6. Photo-Hanging Clothespins
Obviously, you can use these to hang up pretty much anything you'd like. But when it comes to adding a pop of color to plain pins, I love this idea instead of using permanent paint.
7. Geometric Wall Decor
How precious is this angular squirrel? You can go-all out with a huge design like this, or keep it minimal like the "acorns" on the right.
8. Magnets
You just need the cheap strips of plain magnets, which you can find in pretty much any store with an office supplies section. Then get as creative as you'd like with your favorite tape!
9. Patterned Feathers
This simple idea is just a matter of doubling the tape over a toothpick, cutting it into a feather shape, then snipping along the feathery sides. You could also string them along some thread or twine for the stem.
10. Nail Decals
Because the tape is so thin, you can simply place them over your nail and cover with a coat of clear nail polish for an adorable accent nail.
11. Gift Wrapping
The possibilities for patterns are absolutely endless — and they add an extra dash of personal care to the gift that will surely make an impression on the recipient.
12. Notebook Covers
This is perfect for teens heading into class or busy moms wanting to add some fun flair to their planners.
