When a baby eagle named DC4 got its leg stuck in her parents' nest, it was clear that it needed a helping hand.
Then a brave worker stepped up and changed everything.
In the video below, posted on April 24, 2017, the baby eagle sits in its family nest while her mom and dad, First Lady and Mr. President, are away. The young eaglet appears to be a little startled and uncomfortable.
Luckily, a wildlife conservation worker scales up the 80-foot tree to reach the baby eagle. He carefully makes his way up to the treetop and balances his body across the nest. Once he is in a good position, he begins the rescue mission to save the helpless bird.
The worker tries his best to untangle the baby eagle from the nest, unhooking its leg from a misshapen branch holding it captive.
Once he wriggles the eaglet free, he gently places it inside his bag so the rescued bird can be evaluated by a vet.
Fortunately, the baby eagle only has a little bit of swelling and is given a clean bill of health and will soon return to its nest with its mom, dad, and sibling, DC5.
